In 2013, Bloom started as a series of meetups for students
interested in entrepreneurship, and rapidly grew from there. Fast forward to
August 2015, and the BloomLab was launched at St Catherine’s College by Dr
Michael Chaney AO.
We believe that young people are more than capable of
creating a positive impact in their community through entrepreneurship, and it
is our job to encourage and support them in any way possible. To do this, we
run workshops and host industry speakers, provide mentoring and one-on-one
support, and ultimately provide a physical location, the Bloom Lab, for
entrepreneurs to use as their dedicated office space.
We are continually growing. Our vision by 2020 is to have
100 actively engaged start-ups working out of the Bloom Lab, and an effective
team in place to support them. We are always looking for new and innovative
ways to create the best value possible for our members, volunteers, and
mentors.
The rapid growth and success of Bloom and our members would not have been possible without the generous and ongoing support of our partners.
Bloom ensures its partners maintain healthy, supportive relationships that are delivering mutual benefits for all stakeholders, and facilitating a clear path for Bloom to achieve its mission of raising entrepreneurial spirit in Western Australia.
Last year saw Bloom develop some exciting new partnerships with the onboarding of Spacecubed, Flux, Core and The Platform; adding to our existing relationships with St. Catherine’s College, University of Western Australia and our Legal Partner Squire Patton Boggs. In addition, Concise Digital are now running digital marketing workshops out of Flux/Spacecubed to support Bloom.
